This photo has been taken during the AFEC-X 2013 of XTBG in the Tropical Rainforest area under the supervision of Alice C. Hughes, who is an assistant professor of Center for Integrative Conservation. Alice needed to record some measurement on bat species with her students. I took advantage of this great opportunity to try some nice new shot for my collection. I wanted to test a classic portrait technique for people commonly used in photo studio on bats. As a result, I got this funny photography. The pose of bat came from a happy accident. Alice pushed the elbow of the bat and it put its hand into its mouth. Like everyone here that night I was also surprised by the result of this curious expression on the face of this little friend, which came out from human being. I’m glad to share it with you here in this issue.
Pierre HONORÉ is a self-taught photographer. He started photography when he was 14 years old and went pro in 2005 right after his degree of Art School in Marseille.
